Community Service
Sr. Theresa Tremblay was most appreciative of all the hats, scarves, and mittens the Guild created.   Our donations, plus those of the Purls of Wisdom group (I delivered for both organizations) enabled Sister to make Christmas brighter for the many babies, pre-schoolers, and adults her day care center and her rescue mission serve.

Did you read the nice article in the Connecticut Post about Ann Marie Tarinelli?  It gave me a good feeling that our Guild helps her with her outreach to the poor in downtown Bridgeport.  Ann Marie is so grateful for all that we do.  So we will continue to collect blankets and men’s clothing and toiletries (bar soap, toilet paper, etc.) for her to distribute.  Of course participation in this Guild activity is voluntary.  .

Program
This meeting will be a knit-in + swap/sell of yarns, patterns, tools, buttons, etc.  Is one of your New Year resolutions reducing/revamping your stash?  Here’s your opportunity!

Our knit-in meetings give us the time and appreciative audience for displaying our newest finished knitting projects or works-in-progress.  It's also a place to get help with a knitting problem.

We always welcome member presentations — if you have discovered a great new knitting technique, or book or magazine you would like to share with the group, please let me know, so we can put you in the program -- at this meeting or another meeting without an outside speaker.
